Line Cook
YOU MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE TO HOLD THIS POSITION.
-Experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate! Attitude and work ethic are the most important thing. Duties include; preparing and plating dishes, prep work, cleaning, dishwashing, inventory, food-running, and the ability to work as a team with FOH to provide excellent customer service.
-Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision. Most shifts you will be working in the kitchen alone or with only one co-worker. Must be able to multi-task and prepare multiple items on cold and hot line while finishing out prep and cleaning duties. Cooks are expected to produce orders in a timely manner. Must be able to keep up during the rush, and stay busy during slow periods. We will train the right person, but they must be responsible, trustworthy, and self- motivated.
-Cleaning duties are required, Must maintain a sanitary work environment, and stay organized. Cooks are also responsible for doing dishes. This is an open kitchen where you are in view of guests.
- Open availability required. We work nights, weekends, and all major holidays, except Thanksgiving and Christmas. Part time 25-30 hours to start, full time as business increases.
-Need to be proactive, work with a sense of urgency and efficiency. Teamwork and communication is very important, we are a small tight-knit company so emloyees have to wear many different hats at times. Must stay busy and keep up on prep, cleaning duties, and side-work.
-Scratch Kitchen! Must be able to make dressings, aioli, desserts, and other items from scratch. On the job training will be provided, but cooks must have an eye for detail and presentation.
-Must have reliable transportation. Also, food handler's and OLCC card will be required. Starting wage DOE $15-$18 per hour plus tips (5% of food sales to kitchen).
