We’re looking for a reliable Prep Cook/line Cook to prepare and cook food in kitchen. Prep cook duties include cutting and cooking ingredients and preparing meats, poultry and fish. Line cook duties include attending large-scale cooking operations in our kitchen. You should be able to accurately follow written and verbal instructions, contribute to the bring synergy to the line and follow sanitary standards. As a Prep Cook/line Cook, you will have the opportunity to work with a great team of people. You’ll have to be a strong communicator when it comes to answering customer questions about our menu items. Ultimately, we want you to share your knowledge with our team by training other kitchen staff.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing and cooking food in accordance with menu specifications.
- Proficient at mixing, measuring and combining ingredients in recipes.
- Follow standardized recipes, ensuring that food is prepared to established quality standards.
- Readily identify food items and properly label cooking equipment, utensils and product labels.
- Ability to operate a variety of kitchen equipment to maintain flavor, quality and portion control of food items.
- Plan and prepare a variety of menus for an efficient workflow.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
