Job Summary:
We are not an Italian Restaurant. We are a higher end restaurant and cocktail bar. Our cuisine is "World Cuisine with a Mediterranean Focus. We feature local Seafood, Dry Aged Fish, Pasta, Duck, Berkshire Pork, Veal and a Chop House Menu with In-House Dry Aged Prime Beef, Japanese and Australian Wagyu as well as all the Steakhouse side dishes.
We utilize a Sous Vide application for some of the proteins. We pride ourselves on being a progressive kitchen, continually playing with new methods and ingredients.
We are open for dinner service only. Wednesday - Saturday. No lunches! We are closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Tuesday 10 am-5 pm is a Prep day that is an option for obviously more money per week. Also, we are closed for the following holidays: Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day, Fourth of July, and Mothers Day.
The Salaries listed in this post are a range to be discussed based on experience and skill level. In other words I am offering a great salary to the right applicants.
We are seeking skilled and motivated Line Cook/Prep Cook as well as a Pantry/Prep Position to join our culinary team.
Both positions will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, ensuring food safety and quality, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. If you have a passion for cooking and enjoy working in a fast-paced kitchen, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of meals according to recipes and portion sizes
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Maintain inventory of food supplies and notify the supervisor when items need to be restocked
- Adhere to menu planning guidelines
- Monitor cooking times, temperatures, and portion sizes to ensure consistency
- Assist with plating and presentation of dishes
- Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment regularly
Experience:
- Previous experience in a culinary role or similar position preferred
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
