**This is a seasonal job. Availability to start in this position begins in November**
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate multiple Lifts, Gondolas, Tow and Carpets for the guests
- Follow company/department safety policies and procedures.
- Able to work independently or in a small group to accomplish daily job-related tasks.
- Complete pre-operational procedures, and inspections.
- Assist in snow removal, daily set up and routine maintenance of work areas.
- Anticipate guests’ needs and provide service above and beyond guest expectations.
- Remain alert for guests improperly loading and unloading the ski lifts to ensure their safety
- Assist with completing lift closing procedures.
- Work with all mountain departments respectfully in assisting and resolving issues that could arise during the operations.
Qualifications:
- 18 years or older, high school diploma or equivalent
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Able to lift 25 pounds and on occasion up to 50 pounds
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and nights when needed.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time.
- The employee must frequently climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, shovel, rake, or ice chip.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions; extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud
- Skiing/Snowboarding is a plus but not required
- Completion of Snowbasin Lift Operations Department training
- Able to commit the entire winter season
