Responsibilities
- Quote, present and explain insurance policy/coverage options based on client needs and personal goals.
- Actively listen to the clients objections and concerns. Address the clients concerns carefully, clearly, and professionally.
- Advise clients on suitable insurance policies depending on their needs and objectives. Close sales effectively.
- Treat each customer contact as a cross and up-sell opportunity including financial products.
- Utilize various computer systems to take premium payments, update and make changes to policies, and service renewals.
- Ensure consistent and prompt communication with clients to address their needs and concerns to ensure retention standards.
Requirements
- Must have an active New York Property and Casualty License.
- Must have 3-5 years of experience with Property & Casualty Commercial insurance.
- College degree preferred.
- Be able to navigate and leverage the agency management system (Applied EPIC) to access client information, process policies, and manage insurance-related tasks efficiently.
- Pay meticulous attention to detail when reviewing policies, contracts, and client data to minimize errors and ensure the highest level of accuracy.
- Assess incoming tasks, requests, and inquiries to determine their level of urgencyand importance, effectively managing time and resources to meet client needs.
- Ambitious self-starter who can work in a collaborative environment.
- Communicate effectively through written and verbal means, both with clients and team members, to provide clear, concise, and informative responses.
