As a Library Assistant you will work directly with the public at the Reference Desk(s). Put your customer service skills to work in a professional environment that supports the community and its residents.
We have two Library Assistant roles available. The Library Assistant .5 FTE will have the following regular schedule and benefits such as health, dental and vision insurance.

The Library Assistant Flexible will work various hours as needed, up to, but not over, 20 hours per week. No benefits offered for this role.

Examples of Duties
- Assist in the selection and location of books and related materials, and in the use of the integrated automated library catalog and electronic information resources
- Answer questions from patrons in person or over the telephone; instructs patrons in the use of the Internet, computer applications, and library services
- Perform Readers' Advisory
- Prepare book lists and displays under the supervision of a library department head
- Occasional programming/outreach assistance under direction of librarian
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- 2-3 years’ experience of recent paid customer service work.
- Bilingual Spanish/English a plus
