The purpose of the class is to provide customer service for attorneys appearing in Juvenile Court for the administrative docket. Provides customer service for internal staff preparing cases for attorneys related to the prosecution of criminal cases.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or successful completion of the GED; some experience in direct customer service or receptionist work. Some clerical experience preferably in a local government environment.
- Must successfully pass a background check related to this position prior to any offer of employment or promotion.
- Requires proficiency in the use of the personal computer and software programs to include word processing, database management and spreadsheets. Some knowledge of community organizations, procedures and policies preferred; thorough knowledge of office terminology, procedures, and equipment.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and manage multiple tasks concurrently; ability to foster effective working relationships with diverse populations and maintain good relationships with internal and external customers.
- The incumbent may be considered "essential personnel" during City emergency situations or at the direction of the City Manager which may include long hours and unusual schedules.
