Legal Intern
(Part-Time Spring 2024 & Part-Time Summer 2024)
The Intern will assist paralegals by providing clerical and document management support, including scanning documents into electronic format, filing documents into storage systems, entering data into databases, and maintaining records of stored files.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Validate contracts content of electronic files to ensure we are compliance with federal and local laws
- Convert paper files to electronic for data retention
- Support cross-functional and cross-organizational sourcing initiatives and strategies.
- Improve Operational Excellence by cross-checking metadata of electronic files to ensure status, effective and termination date is populated.
- Assist with converting paper settlement agreement and historical documentation to electronic files in the database and electronic environmental library.
- Utilize project management skills to execute multiple project tasks simultaneously.
- Participate in legal projects as needed
Requirements:
- This internship spans January 2024 - August 2024. Must be able to work part-time (15-20 hours per week) during the Spring of 2024 and part-time (15-20 hours per week) during the Summer 2024 onsite in Wickliffe, Ohio.
- Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program from an accredited college or university with an expected graduation date on or after August 2024.
- Must be able to work independently, self-starting, and initiative-taking.
- Must be able to manage confidential information with discretion.
- Must be able to balance multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and imperfect data.
