This position will assist the Legal Department through administrative and legal support. This will include the preparation, editing and maintenance of documents necessary to comply with federal, state and local regulations in the conduct of business activities.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, organize and review preparation of integral documents/materials that are required in various corporate activities to include acquisitions, labor relations, contracts agreements, etc.
- Coordinate complex transactions in support of company business activities.
- Coordinate matters with outside counsel.
- Perform complex legal and factual research.
- Provide general administrative support to in-house attorneys.
- Provide support to other legal related duties as required.
- Work under the supervision of the company’s Associate Counsel and General Counsel while developing practical, hands on legal and business experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Academically strong and highly motivated student, with a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, collaboration skills, and attention to detail without losing the big picture.
- Ability to partner with legal and non-legal personnel, including senior level executives.
- Ability and interest in learning new processes and advocating improvements for legal reviews and procedures.
- Highly detail oriented and exceptional organizational skills.
- Excellent judgment, the ability to work independently and as a team player, and the ability to function in a highly confidential environment.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive under pressure and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and other programs applicable to handling corporate matters.
Program Eligibility:
- Must be able to work full-time for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks.
- Must be able to work from the LA office, located in the Howard Hughes Center on the west side of Los Angeles, Monday-Thursday with the flexibility to work remotely each Friday.
- Must pass pre-employment background and drug screening with satisfactory results.
Hourly Rate: $20.00
