Position: Legal Counsel

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Legal Counsel to join our innovative technology Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will play a crucial role in providing legal advice, conducting contract negotiations, and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. Your expertise and guidance will be instrumental in supporting our fast-paced and dynamic operations in the technology industry. On-site presence in the Sunnyvale office 3 days a week.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Offer expert legal advice on contracts, intellectual property (IP), data privacy, regulatory compliance, and litigation.
- Review, draft, and negotiate various agreements ensuring legal and company policy compliance.
- Collaborate with the CFO and teams to ensure legal compliance and risk mitigation in business operations.
- Manage relationships with external law firms as needed (e.g. SEC filings, IP and litigation.)
- Develop and implement legal policies and best practices to ensure compliance.
- Advise management on strategic decisions to support growth and protect company interests.
- Stay updated on relevant legal and regulatory changes and provide guidance on necessary adjustments to company practices.
Education and Experience:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; bar admission required.
- 3+ years of legal experience, focused on technology or SaaS.
- Skilled in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate legal risks.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment preferred.
