Boutique Family Law Firm seeking part-time assistant and receptionist. Flexible schedule for 20 hours per week with future opportunity for full-time employment.
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Legal Receptionist. As the first point of contact for our clients, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to our legal team. If you have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a passion for the legal field, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate person or department
- Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for attorneys
- Assist with legal case management, including organizing and maintaining client files
- Conduct data entry tasks to update client information and case details
- Conduct interviews with clients to gather necessary information for legal proceedings
- Assist with legal research and drafting of legal documents
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and scanning documents
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient workflow
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working as a receptionist or in an administrative role, preferably in a legal setting
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer applications
- Familiarity with legal terminology and processes
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Knowledge of Lexis-Nexis or other legal research tools is a plus
