Maintaining the largest consumer defense practice in the country, we offer our debt collector, debt buyer, and financial institution clients not just litigation defense, but compliance, licensing and regulatory representation.
Our largest practice areas include: consumer law; employment; commercial litigation; corporate and business transactions; and bankruptcy.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Assist with and prepare court filings for clients
- Maintain tasks and deadlines via a computerized docket management system to ensure timely filings.
- Clerical duties, including answering calls, travel planning, etc.
- Assist in obtaining and organizing client information
- Review information provided by clients and verify that such information is accurate and responsive
- Preparing document drafts and supplemental documents/exhibits needed for the filings
- Assist in maintaining accurate records for clients
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency with Excel, MS Office (i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook, Access), and PDF software
- Proficiency in a paperless environment
- Ability to document time and proof of value for client billing
- 2- 3 years’ experience in a law firm, demonstrated knowledge of litigation process
- E-filing
- Prolaw experience a plus
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Ability to communicate with clients
- Able to work independently. Self-driven with a desire to learn and improve continuously.
- Ability to work in fast paced environment, possess excellent organizational skills and able to produce high quality work.
- Ability to adapt and prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent and consistent attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $25.00 - $36.00 per hour
