SalaryShlesinger & deVilleneuve is a regional law firm with offices throughout Oregon. We are a plaintiff oriented firm helping injured folks get back on their feet after traumatic events like car crashes or on the job injuries. We provide all the necessary training to ensure candidates are able to perform, if not excel, at their job.
We are currently hiring in our Eugene office. We are looking for a Legal Assistant with our personal injury practice to help with the case management, organization and running of the daily administrative operations of the firm. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of office support tasks and work diligently under pressure. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results.
Responsibilities include general administrative/legal assistance with file management duties such as obtaining medical records and billing, managing and organizing client files, updating records, preparing files for settlement, drafting correspondence, communicating with medical offices, clients and insurance adjusters, and providing general administrative support.
Skills
- Working knowledge of office equipment (fax, copier, printers, etc.)
- Proficient in both written and spoken English
- Thorough understanding of office management procedures
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
