Job Description
A legal services firm in New Jersey is looking to fill an immediate need with the addition of a new Legal Assistant to their team.
***This is a Hybrid opportunity requiring the qualified professional to work onsite at least 2 days a week.***
Responsibilities:
The Legal Assistant will be responsible for:
- Manage legal intake mailbox and assign legal review requests to appropriate team member
- Interact with internal clients to provide information regarding the agreement approval process, existing agreements, etc.
- Review contractual agreements, ensuring agreement information / data quality entered into contracts database is accurate
- Draft basic legal correspondence and contracts such as NDAs, amendments, etc.
- Conduct database searches and generate reports
- Update and manage Legal SharePoint site and contract templates
- Support the Counsel with litigation and subpoenas, as needed
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as Administrative and/or Legal Assistant
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
- Basic understanding of Contracts
- Prior experience with Litigation procedures and processes, e-filing, and creating table of authorities
- Microsoft Office proficient (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
- Solid analytical, problem solving and research skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
Desired Skills:
- 4+ years of experience within a Law firm and/or Legal environment
- NJ Public Notary
- Experience with Contracts & Contract Management and Corporate Transactions
- Working knowledge of Database Management
