Our client is looking for a dynamic high energy full-time Paralegal / Legal Assistant with current experience working with Family Law and has a “can-do” attitude who is looking for a terrific chance to work with a top firm specializing in family and divorce law. Hybrid work schedule - work from home and office schedule available. This is a fast paced environment!
This is for a multi-office firm. This opening is for the Parsippany office. Must have experience supporting Family, Matrimonial and Divorce Law!! Paralegal certification is not required, but a plus!

- Assist attorneys in preparing cases for trial by preparing and organizing exhibits, assisting with client meetings, filing motions with exhibits, organizing discovery, and organizing and coordinating witnesses
- Work with attorneys in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, and correspondence including correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits
- Draft Case Information Statements and prepare child support guidelines
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff in a courteous and professional manner
- Manage attorneys’ calendars including confirming and coordinating court appearances, meetings, etc.
- Assist with court filings, assembling motions, and coordinating process servers
- Remind attorneys of deadlines for filings, appearances, meetings, etc.
- Prioritization of workload in accordance with deadlines be able to multi-task
- Handle various administrative duties such as maintaining proper electronic files and paper files, when appropriate.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 -3 years of Family Law experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Possess outstanding organizational and time management skills
- Enjoy interacting with both clients and potential clients as well as all colleagues
- Strong computer skills
