SalaryWe are seeking a dedicated and motivated Legal Assistant to join our team in Orlando, FL. As a Legal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys and ensuring the smooth operation of our legal practice. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary range of $18 to $20 per hour.
Role and Responsibilities
- Administrative duties to include, but are not limited to, coordinating meetings, scheduling mediatins and depositios, answering and directing telephone calls, maintaining and organizing electronic case files, and updating files with case status and information
- Knowledge of court procedures including, but not limited to Florida E-Filing (ECF)and Federal E-Filling
- Scheduling of hearing, depositions, mediations, conferences, and other events
- Compiling and organizing documents, preparing binders and/or folders.
- Gathering and organizing records, documents and other materials
- Calendaring Such other tasks relevant to administrative operations.
Qualifications and Education Requirements+
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or paralegal certification preferred.
- Proven experience working as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation.
- Proficient in using legal research tools and software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
