SalaryA growing and busy southeastern Connecticut law firm is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant. The ideal candidate should possess experience in an office setting. Our areas of practice include - workers’ compensation, personal injury, criminal matters and real estate closings.
It is very important that the person be willing to work in a very close environment and be extremely personable with clients and fellow staff. We are an office where our culture to ourselves and our clients is of the utmost importance!
Bilingual (Spanish/English preferred.)
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and organize client files.
- Request medical records and billing.
- Obtain copies of polices reports.
- Report claims to insurance companies.
- Answering telephone calls.
- Draft correspondence to clients and other parties involved in the case.
- Schedule appointments with clients and other parties involved in the case.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.50 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 36 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Microsoft Office: 2 years (Preferred)
