Legal Assistant

We have an immediate opening for a paralegal/Legal Assistant with minimum three years’ Connecticut personal injury and workers’ compensation experience to work closely with a busy plaintiff’s attorney in a small office in New Haven. Responsibilities include all aspects of the plaintiff’s injury practice from initial client contact through mediation, arbitration, trial, settlement and disbursement, as well as necessary scheduling and file maintenance. Job requirements include proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Connecticut state court e-filing, and dictation/transcription. The successful candidate prizes accuracy, enjoys communicating with people, and wants to stay busy.

We are a 5-lawyer firm concentrating in plaintiff’s injury work and criminal defense.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
