The position involves working cooperatively with staff and attorneys at a firm specializing in family law. The ideal candidate is a hard-working and flexible multitasker with a strong customer-service attitude and keen attention to detail.
We are seeking one full-time employee who's available from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday (with an hour off for lunch).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Answer phone calls;
· Provide a warm, welcoming intake process for potential new clients;
· Effectively communicate with clients, court staff, and other legal professionals;
· Maintain the attorney's calendars and schedules;
· Prepare and process incoming and outgoing mail, including pick-up/delivery at post office;
· Deliver documents to various courts or law offices;
· Cooperate with other staff to maintain computerized file database;
· Monitor status of cases, and track filing or other deadlines in case files;
· Prepare documents and letters for attorney’s review and revision;
· Organize a variety of documents and files on short or strict deadlines;
· Work with other staff to coordinate tasks, events, and hearings; and
· Perform other duties as may be required.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
· Minimum 2 years of experience in an office or customer service environment, or in a leadership capacity in a volunteer organization;
· Bachelor’s degree required; and
· Individual transportation with valid state driver’s license.
