Job Description
Dean Mead, a full-service Florida business law firm, is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant to work in our Tallahassee office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation and be capable of supporting an experienced team of attorneys.

Requirements:Duties and Responsibilities:
· Draft and format legal documents such as pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and correspondence.
· Prepare discovery requests and responses, including gathering relevant documents and information.
· Prepare and file court documents electronically (e-filing) and monitor court dockets for case-related notifications.
· Assist in trial preparation by organizing exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
· Prepare and process lobby registration, disclosure forms, and reporting compliance.
· Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, processing invoices and reimbursement requests, managing attorney calendars, and making travel arrangements.
· Other administrative duties, including general reception and office services, as assigned by attorneys.

Education and Experience:
· Minimum of 2+ years Legal Assistant experience (Required), in a litigation practice (Preferred).
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and PDF (Required).
· Typing minimum of 75 wpm (Required).
· Experience with Worldox (Preferred).
· Florida Notary (Preferred).
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
Work Environment:
· This position reports to work in-person at our Tallahassee office.
