ESSENTIAL DUTIES & TASKS
- Provide full-scale support to the Legal Department.
- Litigation support (including legal research, communication with court clerks, and supervision of process servers).
- Perform data entry following prescribed or established format.
- Correspond with and assist in filling out forms for state agencies, professional licensing boards, insurance brokers, and other outside entities.
- Track projects, claims, and related items.
- Draft and send formal correspondence (including demand letters, cease and desist letters, and settlement documents).
- Manage physical and electronically-stored files.
- Uphold ethical standards and maintain strict client confidentiality.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint, as well as Adobe Acrobat & Reader.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong analytical skills.
- Self-directed, organized, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work within a team environment.
- Ability to adjust work schedule to meet deadlines.
- Working knowledge of Westlaw or Lexis Diligence is a major plus!
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years of relevant office experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to read, write, speak & comprehend English.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and courteously in person, through videoconferencing, and over the telephone.
- Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screen.
- Requires frequent bending, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout the work shift.
COMPENSATION
$18/hr-$22/hr (based on education, licensing, location, and professional experience)
