Under supervision of the Personnel Officer, this position is responsible for administering the Department's Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) policy and leave administration for the Department, including administration of leave cases, policy, and training associated with administration of leave.

- Administer the FMLA policy based on a rolling 12-month period.
- Review FMLA documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Make recommendations to approve or deny requests for FMLA based on federal regulations.
- Conduct FMLA training for Department supervisors and employees.
- Type correspondence, forms and other documents.
- Provide guidance to Divisions/Districts statewide regarding leave cases.
- Maintain leave cases in the Kronos Workforce Management System.
- Monitor accuracy of leave in the Kronos Workforce Management System.
- Generate employee reports for Bureau of Legislative Research.
Minimum Requirements
The educational equivalent to a bachelor's degree in business, organizational management, human resources management, or related field; OR the educational equivalent to a diploma from an accredited high school plus four years experience in the field of human resources. Experience in office policies and procedures. Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
