The Leasing Consultant assists the Community Manager and Leasing Manager with showing and leasing available apartment homes to prospective residents. This position ensures a positive working environment, excellent customer service, quality community living, and a high standard of operations to meet Avanti Residential objectives and leasing plans.
What You’ll Do…
- Manage the leasing process from initial perspective resident contact, property touring, selling the property/apartment, and closing the lease.
- Responsible for playing an active role in the renewal process and assisting in developing and maintaining an ongoing resident retention program under the direction of Community Manager.
- Maintain current knowledge of lease terms, specifications, and all community policies. Able to complete lease forms or agreements and collect rental deposits from start to finish.
- Develop full knowledge of the policies for responding to leads, application information required, screening processes, and policies regarding rentals.
- Process required administrative forms, reports, and related information. Effective and timely maintenance of all resident and community lease files.
- Informed of current rental rates, sizes, locations, and community amenities.
- Archive closing ratio and telephone TPA scores in accordance with Avanti Standards.
- Ensuring the “model” apartments and target apartments are ready for show; be aware of the “curb appeal” of the community.
- Project exceptional Customer Service skills, including professional, prompt, and courteous interactions with residents, co-workers, and vendors.
- Maintain required telephone and sales technique skills.
What We’re Looking For…
- Ability to communicate effectively over writing, phone, and computer.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to successfully navigate frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
What You’ll Need to Qualify…
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1+ years of Customer Service experience preferred.
- Proficient computer skills including knowledge of property management software preferably YARDI.

- Possession of valid driver’s license and up to date vehicle insurance OR reliable transportation to travel to various properties owned and operated by Avanti Residential
- Prior to employment pass criminal background screening
