Camping World is seeking a Learning Illustrator/Graphic Designer in either our 444 W. Lake St., Chicago, IL 60606 location, or our 2 Marriott Dr, Lincolnshire, IL 60069 location.
The Graphic Designer will be responsible for the visual storytelling aspect and ease-of-use of learning experience design and for building maintaining the visual aesthetic branding of deliverables to produce professional quality, high-impact learning resources.
What You'll Do:
  • Graphic Design: Enhance the L OE team's content with superior graphic design, incorporating branding, layout, and various design techniques to create professional and impactful learning materials.
  • Visual Storytelling: Use design to simplify complex concepts into engaging and understandable visuals that drive learning and action.
  • User Experience/Interface Design: Apply UX/UI principles to ensure intuitive and easy-to-navigate materials across various formats, including eLearning and web content.
  • Accessibility: Design content that is inclusive and accessible to individuals with disabilities, considering a wide range of impairments.
  • Curriculum Maintenance: Update and convert existing content into branded, high-quality, and visually appealing resources.
  • Communication: Develop visual assets to support learning initiatives and enhance employee engagement.
  • Project Management: Oversee multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality learning experiences, managing stakeholder communications, and evaluating project outcomes.

  • Improved Learning Materials: Transformation of learning content into visually appealing, engaging, and on-brand materials that enhance comprehension and user experience.
  • Increased Accessibility and Inclusivity: Creation of content that is accessible to a diverse audience, promoting inclusivity.
  • Effective Visual Storytelling: Delivery of designs that effectively communicate complex ideas, engaging learners and driving action.
  • Enhanced User Experience: Implementation of UX/UI design principles to create intuitive and easy-to-navigate learning materials.
  • Innovation and Process Improvement: Recommendation and adoption of new tools and processes to continually improve content design and development, enhancing the overall learning culture.
  • Successful Project Delivery: Management of multiple projects with efficiency, meeting critical milestones and delivering high-quality results.

What You'll Need to Have for the Role:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in graphic design, learning experience design, instructional design, user experience interface design, or related equivalent experience.
  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in graphic design or related fields.
    • Proven ability to develop high-impact visual experiences with attention to audience needs and user experience.
    • Extensive graphic design portfolio showcasing skills across various mediums (e.g., page layout, typography, illustration, whitepapers, websites, email communications, interactive documents, photography, animation, video editing, 3D modeling, etc.).
    • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, Acrobat, After Effects, etc.), Microsoft 365 Suite (especially PowerPoint), Camtasia, and familiarity with eLearning technology (preferably Articulate Storyline and Rise, JavaScript).
    • Capability to quickly learn new software and techniques for creating interactive and visually appealing learning experiences.

  • Preferred: Experience with specific tools like Articulate Storyline and Rise, JavaScript, and an ability to adapt to new technologies rapidly.
