AmTab is seeking a Graphic Designer / Pre-Press Associate to join our team.  AmTab is a growing designer, manufacturer and furnisher of learning environments in Bensenville IL specializing in the education industry.  We strive to create inspiring and engaging educational environments.  As part of a team of collaborative professionals, our Graphic Designers / Pre-Press Associate must maintain a positive attitude, be results-driven, creatively solve problems and have a flexible approach to projects and technology.  Ability to communicate and collaborate is key to our company culture.  Daily activities include creating digital design graphics for use in furniture and wall décor in educational spaces.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for digital file preparation, resizing, color correction, and image manipulation.
• Perform thorough preflight checks on incoming digital files to ensure they meet printing requirements and are free of errors or inconsistencies.
• Collaborate with the production team to address file issues and ensure smooth workflow.
• Design customized graphic materials to engage the audience.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure projects meet company standards.
• Manage creative projects from conception to production.
• Demonstrate intellectual and visual curiosity.
• Understand color models CMYK and RGB, as well as the usage of the CMYK, PMS, and spot color.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors in digital files.
• Familiarity with digital printing processes and prepress workflows.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new techniques.
• Previous experience in prepress operations or digital printing preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field preferred.
• Solid understanding of design principles.
• Ability to create original artwork within brand standards.
• Energetic, creative, detail-oriented, and organized.
• Basic knowledge of Excel and Word.
