We are seeking a School-age teacher to join our family! This individual will plan and present age-appropriate activities for scholars aged 5-12 after school and on school closing days.
Responsibilities:
*Guide and assist school-aged children in daily enrichment activities ranging from Kindergarten to 6th grade (max of 6 students)
*Communicate with parent's any needs or concerns
*Create a fun and safe learning environment
*Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
*Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
*Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress
*Maintain the health and safety of all students
Qualifications:
*Must be punctual
*Have a current childcare qualification letter or the ability to complete one immediately
*Have a current TB skin test or the ability to complete one immediately
*Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields preferred
*High School Diploma required. Associate degree in Early childhood or higher preferred.
*BSAC certification or ability to complete it immediately
*Passionate about working with children
*Ability to build rapport with children & parents
*Positive and patient demeanor
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*Great organizational skills
*Ability & creativity to individualize care for children
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
