JOB SUMMARY

As a Lead Systems Engineer you will be responsible for:

1. Supporting the Authentix Chief Scientist – Brand Protection, with production line printing applications development.
2. Serve as a Technical Program Manager providing technical support, troubleshooting, and systems training for an existing on-line, covert coding program, for which the client is a Fortune 500 cosmetics manufacturer.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The essential functions listed below are representative of the functions that must be performed in order to satisfactorily fulfill the purpose of this job. Additional functions and duties may be assumed or assigned from time to time.

• Working with the Authentix Chief Scientist – Brand Protection in designing and testing production line print applications.
• Working with the Principal Development Chemist - Security Inks & Coatings to test new and existing security ink formulations in various printing applications (Continuous Ink Jet, Thermal Ink Jet, Drop on Demand, Flexographic, Lithographic, Offset, and Digital).
• Support test trials for new printer onboarding or ink formulation testing.
• Work with equipment vendors to maintain and manage optimization of production line systems including (but not limited to) printers, coders, scanners, cameras, triggers, and additional production line hardware.
• Collaborate and liaise with Authentix Manager, Brand Protection PMO to support Fortune 500 client in successful delivery and execution of covert coding program.
• Perform quarterly on-site visits to said client to troubleshoot and maintain coding systems, train on-site personnel, and evaluate stock of operations for reporting back to Authentix PMO and to the client.
• Collaborate and liaise with Authentix software team to maintain the SQL database and reporting functions for said client.
• Writing of technical documents and materials for user training and record keeping of coding system.
• Perform root cause analysis of system faults and implementation of corrective actions.
• Implementation and leadership support and training curriculum development for new programs within related solution set.

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in electrical engineering or computer engineering with a focus on data communication of various hardware systems.

• Experience with printers, scanners, cameras, coders, cameras, triggers, and various production line hardware.
• Experience in SQL database programming and report generation preferred.

• Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project.

• Effective leadership and management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams from many disciplines both internally and externally.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage customer and partner relationships.
• Highly skilled in time management to allow involvement in a variety of projects and initiatives concurrently across multiple functional groups.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Less than 25% domestic travel.

• Bilingual (English and Spanish) - preferred.
