LeadingReach is a health-tech SaaS provider on a mission to change the way healthcare manages patient care.
Based in Austin, Texas, LeadingReach is a HIPAA-secure, web-based platform that connects healthcare providers together on the LeadingReach Network enabling them to refer patients, share clinical documentation, and communicate digitally, reducing the need for faxes and phone calls between providers.
About This Role:A Systems Engineer is responsible for the systems' security, maintenance, and configuration of LeadingReach’s application, database, servers, networking, and other operational components.
A person in this role will deeply understand systems architecture related to web applications and database scalability. A Systems Engineer will work closely with the development and product teams. In addition, a person in this role will support and maintain the internal IT infrastructure for business operations (network, servers, hardware provisions, etc.). A high level of communication and teamwork is required and expected.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in applicable work experience is required. Preferred degrees: CS or BA in CS, MIS, IFSM or related fields. Other degree considerations: EE, Mathematics, or other engineering disciplines. Will substitute degree for work experience if work experience is applicable
- Minimum (5) years working as a system administrator, Systems Engineer, or IT Admin
- Minimum (3) years managing and scaling large distributed web application systems such as SAAS and Restful APIs
- Work experience in the healthcare domain with knowledge of HIPAA, HL7, CCD, etc., a plus
Skill & Ability:
- Solid Cloud experience, preferably in AWS or OpenStack
- Advanced knowledge of IT operating systems, notably OS X, Ubuntu, and RedHat/Centos
- Deep knowledge of application and systems security best practices
- Solid scripting skills (bash, Perl, Python, AWS client of CDK)
- Solid networking skills and knowledge (VPN,TCP/IP, sniffers)
