The RF Sensors and Systems Department is engaged in new technology and product development for clients requiring broad radio frequency domain design and engineering support in areas such as modern wireless communication methods, radio imaging, radiolocation, and electronic warfare systems.
Objectives of this Role:- Design, develop, field and support software-defined radio application frameworks, components and APIs in areas such as wireless communications, radio imaging, radiolocation, and electronic warfare systems
- Provide expertise in digital signal processing methods and implementation approaches for realizing modern RF capabilities for receive, transmit and spectrum characterization in digital logic and general purpose software
- Create designs for real-time systems using digital signal processing components such as embedded logic devices (FPGAs), custom and general purpose processors, graphics processors, and firmware utilizing both LINUX and Windows based platforms
- Develop system requirements and architectures from broad customer statements of need
- Define critical system and subsystem performance views; lead trade studies; develop design options, perform analyses in area of expertise; consolidate/recommend implementation approaches along with supporting rationale
- Organize and allocate system architectural elements to hardware and software configuration items; define and develop associated engineering documentation such as system/subsystem design descriptions, interface descriptions and class diagrams
- Generate and present technical material for proposals, briefings and reports
- Guide system designs through development, implementation, test and sell-off; contribute DSP algorithms and software code

- Requires an Bachelors with a 3.00 GPA in Electrical or Computer Engineering. MS preferred. Strong math skills.
- 5 or more years: Experience in a related signal processing, communications, intelligence or electronic warfare field
- 1 years: Experience as systems engineering lead
- Embedded systems, digital signal processing and digital communication; estimation and optimal filtering work beneficial
- Communication skills/professional presence to make presentations to clients as the spokesperson for high performing teams
- Exceptional written communication skills to prepare technical reports, proposals and whitepapers
- Professional career focus to identify new areas
- A valid/clear driver's license is required
