Form of workMELE Associates, Inc. (MELE) maintains a contract with the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Office of Counterterrorism and Counterproliferation (NA-80) Nuclear Emergency Response Team (NEST). MELE requires a dedicated and experienced Standards Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in assessing training programs, validation metrics, and Quality assurance. Familiarity with ISO standards and prior experience with the Department of Energy is highly preferred. The Standards Lead will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our operations align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Training Program Assessment: Evaluate and assess the effectiveness of DOE training programs, ensuring they meet industry and organizational standards. Develop reports and briefings drawing on the assessment/analysis.
Validation Metrics: Develop and implement validation metrics to measure the effectiveness of DOE Training and operational processes.
Quality Assurance: Oversee quality assurance processes, ensuring that they align with organizational objectives and industry standards. Develop After Action Reports and Lessons Learned Reports.
ISO Standards: Ensure that all processes and operations follow relevant ISO standards.
Department of Energy Collaboration: Liaise with the Department of Energy, ensuring that all operations align with their guidelines and requirements.
Continuous Improvement: Identify areas of improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong familiarity with ISO standards.
- Prior experience with the Department of Energy is highly preferred.
- Proven track record in assessing training programs and implementing validation metrics.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Possess or ability to obtain a DOE Q or DOD Top Secret security clearance.
- The ability to obtain Specialized Compartmentalized Information (SCI) access authorization.
The candidate’s written consent to conduct a background check for the purposes of obtaining a security clearance may be required as a condition of employment.
Certain positions requiring a security clearance may require the periodic successful completion of a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Professional certifications in quality assurance or related fields.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams.
LOCATION: This is a full-time onsite position in Albuquerque, NM.
