Job Description
MELE Associates, Inc. (MELE) maintains a contract with the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Office of Counterterrorism and Counterproliferation (NA-80) Nuclear Emergency Response Team (NEST). MELE requires a dedicated and experienced Lead Specialist - Training and Quality Standards to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in assessing training programs, validation metrics, and Quality assurance. Familiarity with ISO standards and prior experience with the Department of Energy is highly preferred. The Lead Specialist - Training and Quality Standards will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our operations align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Training Program Assessment: Evaluate and assess the effectiveness of DOE training programs, ensuring they meet industry and organizational standards. Develop reports and briefings drawing on the assessment/analysis.
Validation Metrics: Develop and implement validation metrics to measure the effectiveness of DOE Training and operational processes.
Quality Assurance: Oversee quality assurance processes, ensuring that they align with organizational objectives and industry standards. Develop After Action Reports and Lessons Learned Reports.
ISO Standards: Ensure that all processes and operations follow relevant ISO standards.
Department of Energy Collaboration: Liaise with the Department of Energy, ensuring that all operations align with their guidelines and requirements.
Continuous Improvement: Identify areas of improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong familiarity with ISO standards.
- Prior experience with the Department of Energy is highly preferred.
- Proven track record in assessing training programs and implementing validation metrics.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Possess or ability to obtain a DOE Q or DOD Top Secret security clearance.
- The ability to obtain Specialized Compartmentalized Information (SCI) access authorization.
The candidate’s written consent to conduct a background check to obtain a security clearance may be required as a condition of employment.
Certain positions requiring a security clearance may require the periodic successful completion of a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Professional certifications in quality assurance or related fields.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams.
LOCATION: This is a full-time onsite position in Albuquerque, NM.
