Position Summary: This associate delivers exemplary dining service to residents and guests, ensuring that their dining experience is professional as well as warm and inviting. Responsibilities include facilitating the smooth operation of the dining room by monitoring and assisting other servers, demonstrating advanced understanding of the steps of service and hospitality. Essential Job Functions:Lead by example promoting a hospitality focused culture in all dining venues Serve as liaison between guests, residents and kitchen staff and be responsible for effective communication across areas informing hospitality leader and DSDCreate a climate of hospitality through coaching, mentoring, teambuilding and recognition of server team, scheduling ongoing in-service trainings Monitor residents’ well-being in a general way and report any changes in condition to the appropriate associate/department immediatelyRecord production and operational data as required Assist in the creation of effective schedules, plan & forecast labor by budgetWork as part of the team within your department and across the communityLearn resident preferences to provide exemplary customer serviceMaintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and name tag when workingLook for ways to reduce costs and create efficiencies on a daily basisStrives for continuous improvementRepresent the Kisco PVBs and The Art of Living Well SM on a daily basis Adhere to all regulations, laws and Kisco standards, including the Associate HandbookUnderstand and support the community sales process Perform other related duties as required Qualifications and Skills: Education /Experience:High school graduatepreferredThree to five years of dining experiencePrior experience in leadership roles preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Must be able to read and write legibly, to speak EnglishBasic competency in the use of multiple forms of technology, including: Microsoft Office applications, internet-based and custom applicationsAbility to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed Special Requirements/Certifications:Must have Food Handler’s certification as required
