Lead Recruiting Sourcer

SUMMARY

Partner with talent acquisition team and hiring managers to source and recruit talent to meet the companies growing and evolving organizational needs. Takes lead role to employ proactive recruitment strategies, mining for talent to create pipelines of qualified candidates in multiple geographic areas that meet the workforce planning needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following:

  • Leadership: Cultivates talent and develops resources needed for organizational success. Provides mentoring and training for recruiters regarding sourcer related activities ensuring productivity is maximized and quality is delivered.
  • Strategic planning: Develops, communicates, and oversees a strategic plan for building recruiting campaigns: Develops and directs social media campaigns building awareness for Cherokee Federal positions.
  • Placing and refreshing recruiting ads to optimize candidate flow.
  • Interacting with potential candidates on social media and professional networks (e.g. LinkedIn, Indeed, Zip Recruiter, etc.)
  • Crafting and sending recruiting communications.
  • Promotes consistent company brand to candidates and applicants.
  • Sources and refers active and passive qualified candidates to recruiter for consideration.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations.
  • Initiates and acts on innovative resource strategies and employee resource groups designed to encourage diverse slates of candidates.
  • Utilizes hiring and sourcing statistics to continually improve and make informed decisions.
  • Develops extensive pools of highly qualified, diverse candidates to fill current and future needs.
  • Works with hiring managers to ensure accurate understanding of job requirements and expectations.
  • Performs research on the talent markets to determine the supply versus demand, competitor intelligence and best places to find talent.
  • Builds applicant sources and implements creative recruiting strategies to attract qualified professionals by researching, contacting, and developing rapport with agencies, recruiting sources, media, Internet sites, etc.
  • Develops and maintains professional relationships with College, University, and Community College placement offices as a source to generate qualified applicants.
  • Schedules and attends job\career fairs with appropriate staff to generate qualified applicants.
  • Utilizes technology (for example, job boards, candidate tracking systems, etc.) to attract, identify, and communicate with possible candidates to encourage interest in particular postings.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Two years recruiting experience from entry level through highly skilled, and management level positions.

Knowledge and experience working with electronic applicant systems and Internet recruiting sources.

Experience using creative sourcing methods including Internet sourcing techniques, Boolean searches, referral management, and passive candidate outreach techniques.

Knowledge of human resources evaluation methods, policies, practices, and procedures, including EEO, ADA, and AAP\OFCCP compliance.

Demonstrates an expert level of knowledge of all recruiting components and must possess a proven track record in sourcing.

  • Demonstrates an expert level of knowledge of all recruiting components and must possess a proven track record of successfully sourcing hard to find candidates.
  • Experience with high volume and surge recruiting.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Skilled at getting results both directly and indirectly.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills, idea driven.
  • History of anticipating issues and the skills to be strategic, proactive and assertive.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong collaborator and team player.
  • Must have the ability to successfully pass a drug screen and a Federal Background check as a condition of employment.
  • Cherokee Federal has suspended it's COVID mandate.  However it's important to note that Cherokee Federal employees are included as covered employees in U.S. Presidential Executive Order 14042, which mandates Covid vaccines for federal contractors. Executive Order 14042 is currently not subject to enforcement by the Federal government. Therefore, Cherokee Federal has suspended application of the mandate and continues to monitor the government's guidance on administration of any vaccine requirement.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office setting.

Some travel may be involved.
