The Lead Therapist is responsible for assisting the Director of Rehabilitation Services in the coordination and supervision of Rehabilitation Therapy Services. This position will also provide clinical therapy services as determined by patient and staffing needs.

The Lead Therapist assumes responsibility and accountability for coordinating implementation of new projects and goals that have been assigned by their Director of Rehabilitation (DOR). Lead therapist, in conjunction with their supervisor will be responsible for identifying and solving clinical flow problems. In coordination with the DOR, the lead therapist will assist in approving vacation request and staffing coverage and schedule management. The Lead Therapist is responsible for assisting their director in the coordination of new staff and student orientation; overseeing proper management of durable medical equipment (DME). The Lead Therapist is also responsible for providing feedback to the supervisor and director on co-worker's performance.

The Lead Therapist participates in performance improvement and program development activities. Responsibilities include providing input into the budgetary planning process; contributing to cost effectiveness of services and programs provided by the department; communicating for improvement; and maintaining positive relations with all customers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Rehabilitation therapy discipline
  • Washington Occupational Therapist License upon hire or
  • Washington Physical Therapist License upon hire or
  • Washington Speech Language Pathologist License upon hire
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
  • 3 years Clinical experience in interdisciplinary inpatient or outpatient therapy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree or D.P.T.
  • Food Handler's Permit upon hire

About the Team

Providence Home and Community Care (HCC) is a service line within Providence with over 8,000 caregivers and 2,000 volunteers serving nearly 200,000 people a year, in their homes, in clinics and in a variety of congregate living ministries across our seven-state footprint.
