Role:Responsible for booking and assisting guests in Cabanas along with maintaining cabanas, pool and recreation areas; to perform job responsibilities satisfactorily and to according to department standards. Maintains a leadership role over lifeguards. Adheres to all Company, Safety and Department policies and procedures. Fosters teamwork and provides excellent guest service, anticipates guest needs to exceed guest expectations. Builds brand loyalty by living the JW Marriott Core Values.
Applicant should have 1-2 years Resort Pool Lifeguard experience, or previous Lead Lifeguard position.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATAIONS:
- Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English.
- Skill in Microsoft Word and PC computer applications.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Strong organizational skills and coordination skills.
- Skilled in multi tasking.
- Pleasant personality, team oriented and enjoys working with and assisting guests and associates.
- Adaptability to varying schedule changes and flexibility with schedule including ability to work holidays.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATE/LICENSE:
- Clark County Health Card
- CPR/AED and Lifeguard Certification
MAJOR JOB DUTIES:Duties include, but are not limited, to the following:
- Provide coverage to pool deck, waterside and recreation area as scheduled and needed.
- Keep pool deck, waterside and recreation areas clean and free of debris.
- Control the entrance to the pool area ensuring that no unauthorized guests allowed to enter.
- Open and close towel hut per policy.
- Assist guests with sales and bookings of cabanas.
- Stock, clean and give appropriate customer service to all pool, recreation and cabana guests.
- Assist guests with purchases, utilizing knowledge of price and selection of goods on hand.
- Handle all phases of the cash register
- Fold and stock pool towels as needed.
- Assist with training of new hires.
- Maintain cleanliness of cabana and assist cabana host/servers as needed.
- Run food from Ceres kitchen as needed.
- Expedite food from Waterside Café as needed.
- Assist Pool and Cabana Servers as needed.
- Each associate is expected to carry out, within their capabilities, all reasonable requests by management.

Work is performed in a pool and outdoor environment and in other locations throughout the property. Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud. A casino environment typically allows smoking.
