The Cloud and Datacenter Equipment team is seeking a motivated, creative, Expert Design Lead Engineer with large experience in Power and Mixed Signal design, for creating products for datacenters and communications market segments.
As an Expert Design Lead Engineer, you will lead the team to work on innovative power solutions, responsible for every phase of the IC development from architecture definition to the full product release. Focused products will include multiphase voltage regulators developed for powering high current processors and ASICs cores.
Such role implies collaboration and coordination with other roles/department inside the company such as analog/digital design, layout, testing, quality, process, business, through the product development cycle.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Lead Design team to develop leading edge multiphase controller products
- Manage the product feasibility and take ownership for topology choice and product IP selection.
- Define digital interaction and partitioning, collaborating with digital lead design.
- Coordinate with test lead all DFT choices for the products, supervise test HW/SW.
- Collaborate and drive Product Definers to optimize product definition and specification.
- Handle block/macroblock and top-level simulations (Analog/DMS/AMS).
- Provide mentorship and guidance for other lower experience design engineers
- Generate all the documentation needed for the entire design flow.
- Lead lab evaluation and product debug.
- In conjunction with TE, support all test activities including correlation and Characterization to support production release
Required qualifications
- Minimum education MSEE.
- More than 20yrs experience in Analog and Mixed Signal circuit design, and 8yrs or more as Lead chip design, for complex mixed signal power products.
- Large experience in power arxhitectures and experience with multiphase buck regulators
- Experience with digital power control
- Knowledge of designs for high speed power management circuits
- Uses state of the art CAD tools for circuit development, based on Cadence platform.
