We are seeking a talented and dedicated Lead Data Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to join the Data Solutions team, focusing on data warehousing initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for bridging the gap between our business stakeholders and the technical team, ensuring that our data warehouse solutions meet the organization's business needs. As a Business Systems Analyst for the data warehouse, you will play a crucial role in defining requirements, facilitating data integration, and optimizing data processes to drive critical business insights.

What You'll Do
- Translate data and reporting requirements provided by business teams into data warehouse system requirements
- Develop reporting mock-ups and/or prototypes to assist in validating the requirements, eliminating ambiguity, and providing early visibility of the solution to the business.
- The BSA will develop a deep understanding of the business processes and act as subject matter expert within the Data Solutions team for Go-to-Market (GTM) business functions
- Develop a deep understanding of source system data utilizing documentation and subject matter experts (SMEs)
- Utilize source system profiling data from the company's data cataloging tool to develop a strong understanding of quality, lineage, and granularity
- Create and maintain data flow diagrams, understand and document data relationships and lineage utilizing a cataloging tool such as Alation
- Collaborate and partner with business users and the QA team to design test cases for functional and User acceptance testing
- Provide support for end-users by resolving data-related issues and ensuring accurate data retrieval
- Ensure data quality and consistency by defining data validation and transformation rules.
- Elicit, document, and analyze business requirements for data warehousing projects.
- Create data mapping documents to outline the flow of data from source systems to the data warehouse
- Collaborate and work closely with data architects and analysts to define and document data models and schemas
- Create and maintain documentation for data warehousing projects, including requirements, data dictionaries, and business processes
- Support the development of training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users.
- Maintain a catalog of Data products (including data warehouse data sets, self-serve business data sets + operational and executive reporting) and work with business stakeholders to ensure all products are fully adopted and leveraged for decision-making
- Assist the Technical Program Managers in identifying and managing project issues, risks, and scope creep
Who You Are
- 5+ years experience in data warehousing, analytics or business intelligence
- Proficiency in SQL is required
- Experience with data warehouse platforms like Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery or similar
- Proficiency in Python is a plus
- Possess at least a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (economics, finance, statistics, business, computer science/data) or equivalent experience
- You are motivated by adding business value and driving revenue for the company
- You are a curious problem solver with a growth mindset
- You enjoy interacting and collaborating with technical developers and analysts as well as non-technical business staff throughout the organization
- Able to deal with ambiguity and problem-solve independently
- Self-starter: able to succeed and have an impact with minimal direction
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
