Overview
Join our team as a Lead Crisis Therapist and play a crucial role in providing direct services to clients enrolled in the STEP Partial Hospital Program. The Lead Crisis Therapist provides direct services to clients enrolled in the STEP Partial Hospital Program. These services may include: facilitating daily groups, providing individual support and family therapy sessions, psychosocial assessment, case management, coordination with Kaiser clinics, and maintenance of case records. Additionally, theLead Clinician supports the Program Supervisor in providing clinical training to the STEP Team, and supports the clinical integrity of the program. The ideal candidate will have a high level of clinical and organizational skills, be able to provide effective supervision, prioritize projects, have strong computer skills, good communication skills, and be a positive team player.
ABOUT STEP
The STEP (Skills, Transitions, Exploration and Progress (STEP) Program is a partnership between Kaiser Permanente and Seneca Family of Agencies. STEP provides intensive, short-term and stabilization services enabling youth to reintegrate into school and the community with lower levels of outpatient mental health treatment. STEP clients participate in daily groups, attend family therapy sessions, meet with a psychiatrist, and receive case management and medication management services.

Responsibilities
  • Hold clinical leadership for program
  • Provide supervision for Counselor or Master's level intern
  • Support with training new clinicians and provide trainings to multidisciplinary team
  • Facilitate a daily narrative therapy process group and support with other groups utilizing CBT, DBT, Motivational interviewing and Mindfulness interventions.
  • Conduct 2 family therapy sessions for each youth enrolled.
  • Conduct intake assessment for each youth to determine needs.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement a treatment plan.
  • Work directly with Kaiser clinics to collaborate on treatment and discharge planning.
  • Participate in the daily clinical treatment planning with the inter-disciplinary team
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community members and providers.
  • Participate in individual and/or group supervision.
  • Chart mental health notes, treatment plans, discharges, DSM diagnoses, incident reports, timecards and other documentation as necessary in a timely manner.
  • Provide leadership in case planning and while consulting with team members.
  • Maintain professional behavior at all times, appropriately representing the Seneca mission and philosophy.
  • Attend all required trainings.
  • Assist with client transportation as needed.
  • Perform all other duties as necessary for the good of the agency as directed by supervisor.
  • Carry out responsibilities related to prevention of and safety within restraint/seclusion as per Seneca's Equilibrium Policy.

Qualifications
  • Licensed clinician or close to licensure preferred
  • BBS registration required
  • Leadership role, experience in supporting onboarding and training of team members preferred
  • Experience in milieu environments preferred
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work well on a multidisciplinary team
  • A commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion as well as unconditional care
  • Fingerprint clearances
  • Valid California Drivers License and insurance
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination

Schedule
  • Monday - Friday
  • 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Benefits
  • Starting salary: $72,461 - $86,461 annually
    • Actual salary dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualification
    • Additional compensation provided upon passing bilingual language proficiency exam
    • $2,000 sign-on bonus
    • Salary increases each year
