Summary
Christian-based preschool, near Zion Crossroads, now hiring an After-school Teacher/floating Preschool Teacher. Applicants must have a minimum of one year experience in a preschool/daycare setting, have good communication skills, and love working with children. CPR/First Aid training is a plus! Must be willing to work with children from ages 2 to 12.
Job Type: Full-time ONLY Salary: $16-$17.00 /hour depending on experience.

Duties
Lead After School Teacher/Elementary Kids Day Off/Summer Camp Teacher
·Responsible for planning, leading, and implementing core and non-core programs and experiences for children in a group setting.
·Responsible for general safety and development, growth, and skill achievement of the participants in the group.
·The team member will provide high-quality outdoor and indoor educational and recreational experiences for participants that focus on caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
·Assist children with homework during the school year.
·Abide by safety compliance standards, some include yearly staff health report, T. B. screening, background checks, annual training, and CPR certification.
·Maintain safe ratio in the classroom (5–9-year-old=1:20, 9-12 years old=1:25).
·Relay necessary information to parents.
·Greet children as they exit the bus (on school days) and safely escort children to the classroom.
·Administer daily health checks as they exit the bus and record their attendance on the daily attendance sheet.
·Clean and sanitize for the next day (empty trash cans, vacuum, mop, clean tables, chairs, bathrooms, etc.).
·Must be at least 18 years of age.
·Hours for after-school care are 3:00-6:00 PM with a 30-minute planning time from 3:00-3:30.
·Elementary Kids Day Off days are scheduled days that Louisa County Public Schools do not have school (asynchronous days once per month, spring break, fall break, and winter break).
·Summer camp for elementary care starts at the end of May and runs through the first week of August.
·This position is a 40-hour/week position. Before 3:00 PM you will be a floater for the preschool, for all classrooms and will follow the floater and teacher assistant job descriptions (as follows):

·Fill in when a staff member needs to leave early or come in late for the day.
·Fill in as needed for lunch breaks or restroom breaks throughout the day.

·Help/assist the teacher with daily tasks (bible time, circle time, etc.).
·Step in to substitute for a teacher when not available.
·Clean and sanitize for the next day (empty trash can, vacuum, mop, clean tables, chairs, etc.).
·Redirect a child when the child is disruptive and comfort them when needed.
·Change diapers and help with potty training or bathroom time.
·Provide safe outdoor/indoor play.
·Greet parents at arrival and dismissal.
·Relay any necessary information to parents and teachers.
·Maintain safe ratios for classrooms (1-year olds=1:5, 2-year-olds=1:8, 3-year-olds=1:10, 4-year-olds 1:10, 5-9 years old=1:20, 9-12 years old=1:25.
·Provide daily health checks.
·Help in any capacity needed as instructed by a lead teacher.
·When in ratio in your assigned classroom, help and instruct in other classrooms to meet ratio requirements and provide restroom breaks and lunch breaks as needed for other staff members.
