Launch Planning Manager

ILIA is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Launch Planning Manager to join our operations team. As a Launch Planning Manager you will lead the development and production of all product sets, sampling programs, reformulations and product updates as well as manage formula & packaging key deliverables for some new product launches.

Flexibility and responsiveness to a dynamic environment is a requirement in this role. We are looking for a strong communicator who operates with an owner’s mindset—and has the passion and enthusiasm to rally a team.

This role is remote but candidates should be comfortable with working in pacific coast hours for meetings.

Role & Responsibilities:

• 
  Take a lead role in establishing comprehensive timelines for delivering new cosmetic products that include: task dependencies, owners, deadlines and duration.

• Build partnerships both internally and with manufacturing vendors to establish a plan for delivering new products. Responsible for understanding and evaluating the end-to-end process and making recommendations on how it can be improved.

• Create project schedules, achieve deadlines, ensure accuracy of deliverables, and fulfill scope of work

• Responsible for keeping key partners up-to-date on the progress of projects, key milestones and driving the team to completion of deliverables focusing on the development stage of the product launch up until PO placement

• Perform risk assessment for fast-track projects or in case of missed milestones in order to ensure on time launches at minimum cost

• Develop back-up/recovery plans in the case of unplanned set-backs in project delivery

• Escalate to the leadership when workflows are at risk of missing deadlines

• Perform project post-mortems for core launches

• Maintain 100% accuracy of Smartsheet cross-functional reports including actual due dates and completion status

• Attend weekly PD/ops & creative/ PD to provide key formula & packaging approval due dates and alert the senior team about potential risks and mitigation plans

• Attend all vendor meetings

• 
  4+ years of direct experience managing new product development from concept to market in fast-moving consumer goods environment; beauty experience preferred

• Must be familiar with standard project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana etc.) and templates

• Experience directing, motivating and facilitating skilled professionals in a dynamic environment

• Able to prioritize tasks and responsibilities independently; strong negotiation and communication skills

• Proven ability to resolve conflict (striving for win-win outcomes) and act independently through ambiguity

• Ability and willingness to work with teams in multiple time zones (domestic and international)

  This is the anticipated salary range for this position. The actual salary offered will carefully consider a few factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
