Job Description
Summary: Seeking a Large Transformer and Magnetic Designer Engineer with expertise in design and analysis of magnetic components and experience with various design tools.
Requirements:
Must have a BS degree
Ability to work a hybrid schedule - remote and onsite for testing when needed
Experience in from scratch design and analysis of magnetic components such as high-frequency inductors, large multi-phase dry type, water, conduction cooled transformers, and ATRUs
Knowledge in analysis and testing of the materials and construction techniques affecting system characteristics
Experience with power ratings from 100W to 500kW, voltage 100-13.8KV
- Proficiency in using design and analysis tools including Matlab, Ansys Maxwell, and Comsol
Responsibilities:
Define system architecture and create engineering requirements for components and systems
Conduct FEM and circuit simulations to optimize performance & guide design decisions
Collaborate with the in-house Electrical Engineers & Mechanical Engineers to design, validate, manufacture magnetic components for products
Build prototype components & assemblies optimizing them to meet system requirements
Work with the manufacturing team for specification adherence, quality improvement & yield enhancement.
Pay Details: $70.00 to $93.00 per hour
