Landscape Crew Member

Landscape Crew Member:

Summary of Position: Responsible for the safety of themselves and those around them. They follow direction from the supervisor, install landscape materials, and other items as directed.

Goal: The Landscape Crew Member’s goal is to safely install landscapes as directed by the supervisor, while gaining an understanding of Southview Design’s culture and processes

Duties:

1. Knows and follows all company safety, personnel, and procedure policies.
2. Follow direction of supervisor to satisfy job requirements.
3. Safely and efficiently assists in installing quality landscapes
4. Gain knowledge in common horticulture and hardscape practices and installations
5. Assist with loading and preparing in the evening for the next day.
6. Tracks hours accurately by clocking in and out.
7. Maintains a clean and professional work site, truck/trailer, and uniform.
8. Assists with proper securement of equipment for transport.
9. Assists in punctuality of start and end times, breaks, and lunch periods.
10. Represent the company with professionalism and with good public relations.
11. Adapt to various working situations.
12. Perform additional required and incidental activities.
13. Ability to work well with all Crew Members and multiple supervisors
14. Communicates well with Supervisor and Operations Manager

Job Requirements:

Educational Requirements: High School Diploma, College Degree or Certificate in Horticulture, landscaping or related field is preferred but not necessary.

Physical Demands: Must be able to lift/carry materials up to 50lbs on a regular and consistent basis, move about the work site. Requires extended periods of activity including, walking, standing, kneeling, bending, and lifting, up to 100% of a workday. Time in the field-100% of time.

Working Environment: Working Environment: Employee is frequently exposed to exterior elements (i.e., pollen, chemicals, cold and heat etc.). Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
