Land Surveyor Supervisor/Crew Chief

Summary:

Esposito Construction LLC is seeking an experienced Surveyor with over 5 years of expertise in topographical surveys, boundary stakeouts, and utility surveying. The ideal candidate will play a key role in prepping, stakeouts, and surveys of water, storm drains, and sanitary systems. This position requires proficiency in equipment management, data maintenance, and collaboration with engineering teams.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in surveying roles related to topographical surveys, boundary stakeouts, and utility surveys.
• Proficiency in surveying equipment, GPS technology, and CAD software.
• Knowledge of underground utilities and specific surveying techniques for utility projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective project coordination.
• Licensed Surveyor (LS) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate topographical surveys and boundary stakeouts to support engineering projects.
• Lead the prepping, stakeout, and surveying of underground utilities, including water, storm drains, and sanitary systems.
• Prepare for curb stakeouts through thorough surveys and stakeouts to facilitate construction projects.
• Familiarity with GPS machine control and smart grade systems from Topcon and Trimble
• Maintain organized and accurate survey data for project planning and future reference.
• Implement effective data management practices to enhance survey operation efficiency.
• Oversee maintenance and storage of surveying equipment, ensuring functionality and calibration.
• Manage company vehicles used for surveying activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
