We are actively seeking a Land Development Staff Professional I to join our dedicated group of professionals in State College, PA. As a Staff Professional I, you will work with Project Manager(s), Project Engineer(s) and other Staff Professional(s) to successfully complete Land Development engineering design projects within a variety of markets. The experience will expose you to the design and permitting process within close working relationships on an HRG project team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Design assistance for portions of projects
  • Plan preparation - site layout, utility plans, profiles, and site details
  • Preparing storm water management, erosion and sedimentation control, and other calculations/reports required for project permits and approvals
  • Researching code requirements

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • E.I.T. Certification
  • Intermediate proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD and Hydraflow Storm Sewers (or other similar stormwater modeling programs), and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team/collaborative environment
  • Previous experience with a consulting engineering firm. (2+ years experience a plus, preferably with tasks that includes :
    • Preparing drainage, storm water management, erosion & sedimentation control calculations and reports required for project permits and approvals
    • Experience in subdivision and Land Development planning for due diligence and proposed site designs
  • Ability to travel to job sites, meetings, and regional offices as necessary (Valid driver's license is required)
  • Has the legal right to work in the U.S.
