SITEC is an employee and customer focused Information Technology and Professional Services Firm specializing in design, development, and delivery of state-of-the-art technology solutions, as well as cybersecurity, software and systems engineering services.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The selected candidate will provide Windows Server and workstation system administration support to a vital enterprise Human Resource Applications and Services organization. The individual will support two testing labs: 1) A Language Aptitude Testing Lab that provides a mechanism for individuals to take both the Language Proficiency and Language Aptitude Battery tests, and 2) A Psychological Assessment Lab that provides a mechanism for prospective personnel to take psychological testing that is a requirement for hiring.
The candidate must be an experienced Windows System Administrator that is comfortable working on a team performing a wide range of system administration activities including:
- Management, maintenance, and security of network infrastructure and servers for Windows 10/11 machines.
- Set up, install the operating system, configure, and maintain Windows servers to ensure they are operating efficiently and securely; to include Active Directory management, network security, networking monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Diagnose and resolve server-related issues, such as outages and application errors. Install, configure, and maintain software applications that run on the servers.
- Ensuring compatibility, updates, and proper functionality.
- Implement security measures such as firewalls, regular security patches, and updates to safeguard the servers.
The main location where the work will be performed is at the Government Site in Laurel. However, there will be occasional travel to the lab within a 10-mile radius about 2-3 times a week.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.
A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and fifteen (15) years of system administration experience. Twenty (20) years of SA experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Experience as a Windows System Administrator:
- Knowledge of Windows Server Upgrade Service (WSUS)
- Experience with networking switch programming
- Willingness to learn and develop strong understanding of the products and technologies
- Experience developing and updating technical documentation
Must be able to work during core hours of 10:00am-2:00pm. Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis
