Palo Alto Networks is looking for an entry level lab engineer for the TechOps technical teams. This individual will work collaboratively with Compliance and Failure Analysis Teams. This individual will perform essential day to day lab activities.
Primary Tasks:
- Maintain lab infrastructure including test equipment and network access
- Support hardware test analysis setup
- Generate Customer HW escalation report priority
- Maintain inventory management system
- Perform basic system software configuration
- Maintain lab consumables/equipment
- Assist Regulatory Compliance and Reliability 3rd party lab interaction
- Perform basic failure analysis
- Perform basic system rework
- Maintain environmental chamber scheduling and calibration.
Qualifications
Skills:
- Ability to apply a working knowledge of server/client and IP based networking hardware architecture, both system and component level, to the test environment.
- Understanding of networking protocols for a hardware engineering lab environment.
- Proficient with spreadsheets and word documents.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic technical skills ( PCBA and system level debug, Linux, Python, PDU, Networking)
- A highly collaborative working style is a must.
- Self Motivated
- Excellent attention to detail
Education/Experience:
- 4 yrs of experience working in a similar role
- BSEE, BSCS, BSCE, or BSET or equivalent experience
