Lab Technician

Job Summary:
 Responsible for supporting Quality Technicians, Quality Auditors, and NONCON Area.
 Track and report on key quality measurables (KPI’s).
 Responsible for the modification and development of Quality Documents.
 Work closely with Quality Engineering and Manufacturing on the development of
standards for floor including new product layout and gage selection.
 Assist with the development of limit samples for parts (Red Rabbits), as needed.
 Attend cross-functional team meetings to review quality issues.
 Perform readiness audits in production to ensure a good quality system has been
established before parts can be transferred.
 Assist with the resolution of customer complaints/quality issues.
 Ability to train new associates.
 Oversee all duties within the Lab including measurements support for Production and
Quality Technicians.
 Develop and maintain schedules for calibration of all measurement devices within the
facility. Also, perform all required internal calibration and maintain traceability of all
measurement devices.
 Other duties as assigned by management.
Essential Functions:
 Gage Calibration management.
 Ability to use Microsoft Suite of Products. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc)
 Ability to use and train on all basic measurement tools. (Calipers, micrometers,
comparator, etc.)
 Ability to use and program CMM and other electronic measurement equipment.
Preferred Education:
 Associate degree and 2 years of experience or High School Diploma and 4 plus years of
experience in manufacturing.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
 3+ years of previous quality experience working within Mfg./Lab environment.
 Ability to effectively support production by providing measurements and providing results.
 Must be able to communicate effectively in the English language both verbally and in
writing.
