A Lab Technician position in Morris Plains, NJ is now available through Adecco Medical and Science. In this role, you will be joining a thriving global color cosmetics R&D team to design, create and execute new eye chassis, shades and textures that deliver superior and desirable consumer benefits. The Scientist will be accountable for delivering the formula related technical readiness milestones throughout the launch timeline. They will also work closely with the principal scientist and manager to ensure proof of performance and R&D deliverables are met. The pay range for this position is $28.00- $30.00/hr. - depending on your level of experience.
Please note that this a minimum 3-month+ temp/contract position starting in December 2023. Shift: Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm.
Responsibilities:
· Batch emulsion and powder formulas that deliver superior consumer performance on time while providing regular updates to lead scientist.
· Support technical method testing and complete rheological, physical, and mechanical performance tests.
· Operate laboratory equipment, follow R&D procedures, and document development and experimental results.
· Test and document formula or integrated product performance and stability results to implement Optimization.
· Comply with all company policies, procedures, safety, and GMP.

Pay Details: $28.00 to $30.00 per hour

Qualifications:
- BS Degree in Chemistry or related science field.
- Minimum of 1-3 years' experience in R&D beauty and/or personal care, with a focus on mascara, emulsion chemistry, and/or rheology. Experience with pigment technology a plus.
- Perform good experimental execution, data collection, and documentation.
- Strong communication and organization skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with an innate curiosity.
- Passion for beauty with a general understanding of color products.
