Job Description:
The Laboratory Technical Assistant performs various activities to help assist the Anatomic Pathology Department. Select moderate complexity testing may also be performed under direct supervision as defined by department and/or shift.
Requirements:
High school diploma, and at least one of the following additional requirements:
Two years of clinical laboratory experience, including but not limited to:
Accurate and timely performance of assigned procedures.
Understanding of and strict adherence to departmental and laboratory-wide policies.
Accurate performance and reporting of select laboratory tests.
Accurate performance and documentation of quality control measures.
Accurate and timely data entry and verification, if appropriate, utilizing a Laboratory Information System.
Current enrollment or previously attended a post-secondary school pursuing a science or healthcare related field.
