Lab Products Machine Operator, Second Shift (2Pm-10Pm)

In order to support our growing manufacturing operation, Specialty Silicone Products, Inc. (SSP) is seeking to fill the position of Lab Products Machine Operator, Second Shift. Estimated working hours are 2pm-10pm, with a $.50 shift differential to be added to base pay. This position has a pay per performance wage scale based on quotas output. May also be required to perform other duties, such as packaging, inventory cycle counts and/or work with other production equipment.

We are looking for a skilled Machine Operator to set up, maintain and operate silicone manufacturing machinery. You’ll ensure the interminable and efficient running of production. A great Machine Operator is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Takes Initiative and offers suggestions to improve the operation
• Fully competent on specific assigned tasks and/or equipment within 2 weeks- 4 weeks
• Performs work in a timely manner with attention to quality
• Must be able to achieve production quotas set for the machine assigned to
• Follows and takes direction
• Demonstrates safe and orderly work practices
• Maintains a total awareness of quality practices and procedures
• Responsive to all production requests
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends (mandatory overtime maybe required)

• Must be able to preform each assigned task at full competency, as recorded on training record.
• Troubleshooting skills

• High school diploma or General Education Degree(GED)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
